I've spent 12 years helping people get stronger – first as a personal trainer working with people of all ages and fitness levels, and for the last 4 years as a full-time powerlifting coach.

In that time I've worked with a range of athletes, from complete beginners stepping onto the platform for the very first time, through to intermediate lifters ready to push through to the national and international stage. Every lifter I work with gets a coaching approach built around where they are right now, and where they're genuinely capable of going.

I lean on my experience as both a coach and an athlete to understand exactly what my athletes are going through. I know what it's like to start with no competitive experience and not know if you belong on the platform. I also know what it takes to get there — because through consistency, grit, and a lot of time under the bar, I went from that same place to representing Australia at IPF World Championships in 2023.

That journey shapes how I coach. My approach is educational, methodical, and always in your corner. Because I've been where you are, and I know the right guidance makes all the difference.

Communication runs through WhatsApp with a 48-hour response guarantee, video feedback every session to review technique and track progress, and clear block goals and reflections so you always know where you are and where you're heading. Execute, log, and review. As the coaching relationship grows, Sam learns how you respond, how you recover, and what drives you — and adjusts accordingly. Your job is to show up and put in the work, the plan does the rest.
